Salmon Hive

Salmon Hive is a recent reworking of an earlier painting and is now hanging with some other pieces in my current coffee house show, ‘Malachite Pond’. I have a new wall sculpture piece in the show which has a similar use of the salmon flesh type color so the two pieces will be more harmonious now (they share the same wall). As much as anything to do with the insect content of this one, it’s just fun with color & rhythm. The first version had way too much magenta (yikes!).
