Malachite Pond
Malachite Pond; R Williamson, 14” x 20”; acrylic on canvas, unframed, 2/26
A whimsical pencil sketch that became a painting almost by accident. A spy hopping turtle shares a moment with a cartoony swam. This composition originally had some tall reeds that the swam was peeking through but I ended up liking it better when it stayed more simple.
This is currently on display in a coffee house show at Lighthouse Roasters, through the end of March. This snapshot is actually the almost but not quite finished state, and shown here before signing in bottom right.
