This section shows wall sculptures commissioned for both projects and personal art shows. All rely on a sort of mosaic approach, using wood scraps, found objects, and painted texture to construct the image. Nordstrom Stores commissioned me to do a series of wrestlers for use in remodels around North America. I’m currently doing an ongoing series of sports related pieces in this style for Villa Sport fitness centers.

The latest in my series of tree stumps. The most fanciful to date, I started with the idea of working in some outrageous shade of pink. Something not found in nature.Ended up morphing more towards peachy/brown pink, closer to the color of some salmon.

A recent addition (4/25) to the ongoing Stump Series, ‘Charred Stump’ uses found work scraps, some with accumulated distressed paint to create the rough feel of the aftermath of a forest fire. Some very small flecks of green stand for the moss that is starting to grow on the stump after a year or two. 30” tall x 24” maximum width x 1.3” deep.
