A recent original work on paper, The Torn Hive 1 brings together some brush painting on rice paper scraps and a more studied wasp nest watercolor with some depth and detail.  A piece that sat unfinished on a sheet of glass for almost two months until I figured out how I wanted to see it finished. Shown here before final stamp and signature.

Painted with both watercolors and acrylics on 300lb Arches hot press paper, 100% rag content. Offered unframed so that the buyer can frame according to their preferences. For archival purposes it should be behind UV glass, preferably museum glass in an acid free enclosure.

Original tentative title was simply ‘Wasp Nest Collage 1’, but was subsequently changed.
