Hidden Tarn / Twilight

A small body of still water in a dark, shady dell that had a brilliant reflection on the surface from some evergreen treetops that were out of view. The contrast was dramatic and startling. Some billowing clouds of floating algae enhanced the whole effect. A landscape both realistic and abstract.

On a deep stretcher, 36” wide x 60” high.
