Frost Pond

A recent painting on canvas. 36” wide x 60” tall x 2” deep. The chalky lines follow a similar course to the gouges I’d make if this were a wood block print. In fact the effect here conjures a block print/graphic feel to me. There is something that I like about doing that with paint. I’d like to try some similar mark-making by scratching into some wet acrylic gel medium. For another day.
