The show also gets it’s name from this piece, ‘Horiuchi’s Drum Kit -1’, and features a variety of work, many that use percussion instruments as a starting point, and sometimes as an ending point.

Octopus Flotilla - a mural for Bluebill

The project also serves to underline a point that I like to remind my designer collaborators - that a painted solution can often deliver the biggest custom bang-per-buck. The flexibility is offers when addressing a signature wall is limited only by imagination. Certainly a case where being the Option B was the place to be.

Relief Sculptures for Texan Athletic Club

I completed these two sculptures of sporty figures early this week and they’re now headed to Katy, Texas. There they will be displayed on the lobby walls of a brand new Villa Sport in Cinco Ranch.

Tech Taqueria Columns - a stencil project

The super-bold glyphs are just my made up abstractions but ended up reading as a totemic mash-up of ancient symbols, cattle brands, and stone carved pictographs, inviting the viewer to make their own sense of them.
