Cells / Folds
Cells / Folds; R Williamson, acrylic on glass; 26.5” w x 28” h x 1.25” d; 5/2026
A new piece on glass that creates a fantasy space suggesting a contrast in the surface patterns of two forms in nature: An egg shaped honey comb and a drawing of a black morel mushroom.
Having worked many times in the last several years with hexagon hive cells I’m taking a more abstract look at the geometry involved.
Using an old craftsman era window and frame as the support. Image is back-painted on the glass. Hangs from conventional braided steel wire secured to the back with d-rings.
